Busy Baby Boy

So... apparently you have a baby and you fall off the grid. Last time I posted at the end of January we were anticipating a February 4th due date - turns out that those are more of an estimate than anything. Our beautiful baby boy Isaac who has now become a busy baby boy was born via emergency C-section on Valentine's Day so obviously not February 4 but rather the 14th. He was and is so beautiful.

A full head of hair, beautiful dark eyes,7 pounds 9 ounces, 20 inches long - just a blessing and a treasure. He was so long and skinny and his hands and feet are just giant. He is going to be big and tall I just know it. Or he will be short with big hands and feet and just look all awkward. Well our little bundle is now five months and one week old. He is growing oh so fast. From birth he was trying to roll over, very expressive with his face looking contemplative or serious.

As he has gotten older we have been able to see more sides of him, Isaac means "laughter" and he sure is living up to his name. He is such a bright and smiley little guy! Now at 5 months he has started on his rice cereal like such a big boy and he just loves it. Baby boy is so curious about what is going on around him. He loves to watch his Mum working in the kitchen and enjoys sitting with Daddy watching Star Trek or just cuddling. He has also learned from his dad how to beat box and stick out his tongue much to his mums shagrin.
Not that it isnt adorable or anything when he sticks his tongue out and smiles or spits trying to beat box but he's too little to learn that there is a time and a place and cereal time is not it. Well I hear a noise that tells me in just a moment I have a diaper to change and from the small cries sounds like it's time for him to have a nap. I will try to write more later thanks loyal readers I hope this update let you know where we've been for the last 6 months.
